Polished steel lampshade for a boy who’s into the aerial adventures of the guys at 266 squadron over the skies of northern France’s ww1 battlefields.
A sopwith camel was modelled in 3D on Rhino and the flat patterns were generated for laser cutting by Bram Tan industrial design. We then rolled it into a hoop, riveted it together, drilled some hanging holes and hung it from the ceiling.
There’s a bit of a dogfight going on in the skies above a flight fanatics bed but one thing for sure is Biggles and the camels from 266 squadron will be looping and taking out the red barons triplane….
Once it’s dark and the light turned on sopwith camel shadows should be projected onto the walls.
